Your name:
Briony Whitehouse aka A Girl, A Style.
Where did we meet you?: After spotting my ‘Mulmerry’ (Mulberry + Merriment = Mulmerry!) month on my blog!
What is the best thing about London?
Not having grown up in the UK, I never take London for granted. It really is the most incredible melting pot of all that is wonderful in life: history, beautiful architecture, delicious shopping, gorgeous parks, and the fact that you can be exactly who you want here.
Your most fashionable moment?
It’s a straight tie between the fairy dress my mother spent two months hand-making for me for Christmas one year (most exciting present ever!) and the moment the lights dimmed at the Mulberry Autumn Winter 2011 show and I realised I was sitting directly across from several of my girl crushes: Kirsten Dunst, Clemence Poesy and Olivia Palermo.
If you could be anywhere in 5 minutes, where would it be?
Lying under the canopy of a cherry blossom in the Jardin des Tuileries in Paris, with a picnic of French strawberries and macaroons (I have far too many daydreams about Paris in the springtime).
Top tips:
1) Always be kind to your mother.
2) Buy little, but make sure what you do buy makes you smile just to look at and is the best quality you can afford.
3) Have an adventure – see life as a playful treasure hunt.
Favourite English things:
Mulberry; the countryside in April – when the fields are blindingly green, the sky blue and wild flowers burst into life; afternoon tea at grand hotels; cheesy Richard Curtis romantic comedies; having an office in a palace; the nostalgic English children’s books I spent a good part of my life glued to.
