Our newest satchel Bryn features signature detailing such as the triple Postman’s Lock and a detachable strap with classic hardware.
Creative Director Emma Hill designed Bryn after finding inspiration in our iconic men’s messenger Brynmore, with its easy daytime size and practical style.
“We know that women as well as men carry our Brynmore bag, so I wanted to take the ingredients that made the original so covetable and practical and create a new dedicated version for women. Satchels always seem very English to me: I think of girls in old-fashioned school uniform with a beaten-up satchel. They’re just very effortless.”
Four colours, three locks, two sizes, one new style.
A new style has arrived, taking the iconic shapes of the Alexa satchel and Lily evening bag and adding two studded tassels.
The Tassel Bag and Lily with Tassels feature new season finishes Black Forest Leather, Ink Blue or Oak Heavy Suede and Oak Lizard Print and Tiger Haircalf.

This is the year of the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee and the London Olympics and in honour of this celebratory sense of Britishness, as well as our own rural English roots, we have created a set of exclusive products, based on three of the our iconic designs.
The Bayswater, Lily and Pouch have an understated Union Jack flag design added to their feature postman’s locks.
The bags were lovingly made by the team in The Rookery, our British factory in Somerset, using our classic Oak Natural Leather, with Oak Ostrich leather used as well for an additional Lily.
The Del Rey has been released into stores and online.
Inspired by singer Lana Del Rey, the Del Rey also pays homage to classic Mulberry detailing and style accents. It is refined and practical, and although it implies structure the leather is soft and tactile, able to hold everything you might need and be as dressed up, or down, as you like.
Lana Del Rey’s beautiful voice and nostalgic style have captivated us on more one occasion. Creative Director Emma Hill found inspiration in her coquettish elegance and desire to mix high and low cultural references in her music and fashion. Lana has a bespoke Del Rey in White Ostrich, as Emma says: ‘The white with the gold accent suited Lana perfectly – it’s glamorous, and a little bit retro!’
The Travel Day Bag, Oversized Travel Bag and Travel Camera Bag are based on the relaxed satchel shape of our beloved Alexa, but have their very own twist. Creative Director Emma Hill and her team were looking at vintage steamer trunks and were inspired by the detailing – giving our own Travel Bags metal corner tips and retro metal nameplate reminiscent of the old-school luggage.

The new year brings a new bag to Mulberry – the Harriet. Inspired by the softly smart shape of the Neely from Autumn Winter 2010 (they share the same lock closure and glossy leather finish) Harriet is a pared-back style: classically shaped, practical in size and with an overall easy elegance, in day and evening options.
Crafted by the talented embroiderers in our studio in Mumbai, the All Over Bows Dress is made of 22 metres of the most gorgeous midnight blue 100% silk crepe. The fabric itself is gossamer-fine, but the sheer volume of fabric and the work means that all together, the dress itself weighs just under 6.5 kilos.
The bows are handmade in five different sizes, starting at the top of the dress and gradually getting bigger as they head towards the hem. As it’s being made, the dress gets heavier and heavier, which means that extra pairs of hands have to be drafted in to help hold it while the machinist assembles the dress.
Not so much a dress as a work of art.
For Spring Summer 2011 the Mulberry design team took the inspirations of romance and flowers and channelled them into the Flowerbed Dress.
The dress came in a shift and a longer length, and featured completely hand-sown 3-dimensional embroidery.
Each petal is a laser cut circle that has then been folded in four and stitched on by hand. The Flowerbed Shift is given an added textural quality by being produced in suede, and has also been stitched, this time by leather embroidery specialists. It takes two highly skilled embroiderers, working at the same time, 3 days just to stitch the flower detailing for one dress.
Both the suede and woven fabric were dyed specially to match our selected colour palette for SS11.
